Council
The Society’s activities are directed and managed by an eight member Council
which is member elected. The Council mainly deals with policy and ensuring
that the Society’s programmes and finances operate in line with the
constitution. Committees formed within the council are mandated to manage
particular operations (e.g. conservation, education).
Head Office Staff
The Executive Director of the Society, based at the head offices in Kirstenbosch, carries out the mandate of the society and reports to the council on a regular basis. Head Office also comprises a small staff component to assist the Executive Director, as well as carry out administrative functions of the society.Other support staff include conservationists, and administrative support for the society's Northern based branches
Branches
The branches operate under the society's constitution and report to the Executive Director. Branches are formed around the country by members volunteering to drive local activities in support of the mission and objectives of the Society.Each branch has a committee includes the position of a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
