Authors

Call for Paper and Posters

  • Contributions in the form of platform papers of 15 minutes (12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes discussion), speed presentations of 6 minutes (a discussion will be held at the end of each session), or posters, on the session themes would be most welcome.
  • Abstracts should be a maximum 300 words.
  • Abstracts need to clearly articulate what the paper/poster is about.
  • No references, no tables, and no logos should be included in the abstract.
  • Specific guidelines will be sent out shortly.
  • Paper and poster titles and abstracts must reach Wendy Paisley via email not later than 9th May.
  • Posters should have a jpeg or pdf version submitted by the 27th June so that they can be included in the hard copy of the programme. Instructions to follow.

Session Themes

  1. Ecotones and their role in evolution, ecology and conservation; (tension zones between biomes and what do they tell us)
  2. Strengthening the links between research and application (taking what we do to the people who use it) – embracing the social ecological and economic issues
  3. Big differences/similarities between biomes – thresholds (point of no return) ecological, biotic, abiotic, management and action
  4. Face to face: learning from each other, brainstorming ideas across the boundaries
  5. Disturbances across space and time
